Every year, we donate $1 for every bag of Big Chief purchased to a local non-profit, and this year we have chosen The Roots of Music. True to their name, the Roots of Music believes that music transforms lives, and we agree! Their mission is to empower the youth of New Orleans through music education, academic support, and mentorship, while preserving and promoting the unique musical and cultural heritage of our city. They aim to address the systemic barriers that limit access to music education and professional opportunities for low-income youth.

When we started the company, if you place your order by 10 am, it was roasted that day and shipped to you. We still adhere to those foundational principles today, and all orders are roasted to order. Anything placed before 8am will roast and ship that day. Anything after 8 am will be roasted and shipped the next day.
We choose beans from farmers and cooperatives who share our commitment to sustainability, quality, and ethical practices. The countries of origin are listed on each of the coffee descriptions.
