Strawberry Pie, Honey, White Tea

Our Ethiopia Guji offering comes to us from the region of which it is named, Guji, a mountainous area in southern Ethiopia that has earned an exceptional reputation for its vibrant, fruit-forward coffees. It is produced by a collective of farmers contributing to the Layo Teraga Cooperative.

The cooperative brings together thousands of smallholder coffee producers who cultivate coffee in the surrounding highlands. Each farmer contributes to the collective effort to bring together small harvests into traceable lots of specialty coffee.

When you sip this coffee, expect a beautifully sweet and fruit-forward cup, with notes of ripe strawberry and raspberry complemented by honey, brown sugar, and a touch of milk chocolate. Delicate white tea characteristics bring elegance and balance, while a subtle buttery richness and bright rhubarb-like acidity create an impression reminiscent of freshly baked strawberry pie.

It's vibrant without being overwhelming, sweet without being heavy, and wonderfully complex while remaining approachable. We're excited to share the work of the Layo Teraga Cooperative and introduce another remarkable expression of Ethiopia's extraordinary coffee heritage.
